The Family Hub is a telephone, one to one appointment and internet service that provides information, advice and guidance for parent/carers and professionals. Our topic areas fall into three groups, Childcare, Services for Families and Sport, Leisure and the Arts. In the future you will be able to log onto our Service Provider website and enter details for many different programmes. This will automatically then feed into the main website for your details to be displayed. You will be sent an ID and Password for this once it is ready to use, approx 3 months.  It will then become your responsibility to keep your details updated as and when they change.

Parenting Unit The Leeds Family Support and Parenting Strategy, launched in November 2007, identified the need for a central point of contact in the city to support the coordination, the quality assurance and the development of family support and parenting services across the city. The Parenting Unit was established in September 2008 and is based at South Leeds Family Learning Centre in order to meet this need. The Parenting Unit would like to invite all practitioners who work to support families, parents and carers to register with the Parenting Unit using this form. Once registered, practitioners will: ·Receive a regular Parenting Unit newsletter                                     ·Receive information regarding available practitioner training in the city ·Receive regular updates regarding activities, courses and sessions available to parents in your area ·Have access to a wide network of other workers in the parenting field to share good practice, innovative ideas and resources.

After registering, you will also be invited to regularly update the information displayed on the Family Hub Directory advertising the groups, sessions and courses you are delivering. Sharing this information will help to advertise the activities being offered ensuring that duplication of service provision is limited and will also help to identify areas of need for future commissioning of services. Data Protection The Family Hub Leeds will help you in marketing your service by making your information available to the public, and other local authorities, in the following ways: Telephone - people who ring us for information are given contact details.                                                                                                       Post/Fax/E-mail - printed lists of information are posted/faxed or e-mailed in response to enquiries.                                                           Face to Face - printed lists of information are given to anyone who visits our offices or those people who visit our outreach events.   Internet - information is made available through the Family Hub web pages and Direct.gov and other Goverment authorised websites. Information available via the internet may be accessed by people in countries and territories outside the European Union (EU) which may operate different levels of data protection than apply in the united kingdom.
